Introduction of product::Itraconazole belongs to the family of medications called antifungals. It is used to treat certain types of fungal infections, both internally (inside the body) and externally (skin and nails).Itraconazole is used to treat fungal nail infections. Itraconazole goes into your bloodstream and travels to the source of the infection underneath the nail so that it can fight the infection there.
How does it work::Itraconazole oral solution (liquid) is used to treat yeast infections of the mouth and throat or of the esophagus (tube that connects the throat to the stomach). Itraconazole is in a class of antifungals called triazoles. It works by slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection.
Applications. Or where it is used::Itraconazole capsules are used to treat fungal infections in the lungs that can spread throughout the body. Itraconazole capsules are also used to treat fungal infections of the fingernails. Itraconazole tablets and capsules are used to treat fungal infections of the toenails.
Dosage of usage::Itraconazole Capsules should be taken with a full meal to ensure maximal absorption. Itraconazole capsule must be swallowed whole.
Side effects::Nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, headache, stomach upset, or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
This medicine may cause nerve problems. Call your doctor right away if your skin feels like it is burning, crawling, itching, or if you have numbness, prickling, "pins and needles", or a tingling feeling after using itraconazole. Temporary or permanent hearing loss may occur while you are using this medicine.
Warnings and precautions while using this product::Hepatic Effects - Itraconazole Capsules has been associated with rare cases of serious hepatotoxicity, including liver failure and death. Esomeprazole magnesium and esomeprazole strontium come as delayed-release capsules. Esomeprazole magnesium also comes as a liquid suspension. Esomeprazole sodium comes in an intravenous (IV) form, which is only given by a healthcare provider.
Esomeprazole magnesium is available as the brand-name drug Nexium and as a generic drug. Generic drugs usually cost less than the brand-name version. In some cases, they may not be available in every strength or form as the brand-name drug.
Esomeprazole magnesium may be used as part of a combination therapy. This means you may need to take it with other medications, especially to treat H. pylori.
