- Manufacturing process:You can make copper(II) citrate-5-water in the laboratory either by reacting copper(II) sulfate with trisodium citrate or by reacting copper(II) ethanoate with citric acid.
- How to use:Copper (citrate) is a dietary supplement that helps activate enzymes that are important to energy metabolism. Copper may also facilitate iron absorption to help formulate hemoglobin and red blood cells.
- Side effects:When taken by mouth: Copper is LIKELY SAFE when taken by mouth in amounts no greater than 10 mg daily. Copper is POSSIBLY UNSAFE when taken by mouth in large amounts. Adults should avoid using more than 10 mg of copper per day. Kidney failure and death can occur with as little as 1 gram of copper sulfate. Symptoms of copper overdose include nausea, vomiting, bloody diarrhea, fever, stomach pain, low blood pressure, anemia, and heart problems.
- Warnings and precautions while using this product :Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Copper is LIKELY SAFE when taken by mouth appropriately. Pregnant or breast-feeding women should consume no more than 8 mg daily per day if they are 14-18 years old, and no more than 10 mg daily per day if they are 19 years or older. - How does it work:It is responsible for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body, including the regulation of blood sugar, blood pressure, and muscle and nerve function. It is also essential to the production of protein, bone mineral, and DNA.
Applications. Or where it is used::This medication is a mineral supplement used to prevent and treat low amounts of magnesium in the blood. Some brands are also used to treat symptoms of too much stomach acid such as stomach upset, heartburn, and acid indigestion.
Manufacturing process:Pure magnesium is commonly made by separating it from seawater. This process is known as electrolysis. The liquid magnesium formed is cooled into convenient blocks of metal known as ingots. The chlorine gas is recycled to form hydrochloric acid for the production of more magnesium chloride.
How to use:It is best to take magnesium supplements with a meal to reduce stomach upset and diarrhea unless otherwise directed by the product instructions or your doctor. Take each dose with a full glass (8 ounces or 240 milliliters) of water unless your doctor directs you otherwise.
