Introduction of product :Maize starch is produced by the wet milling process, which involves grinding of softened maize and separation of corn oil seeds (germs), gluten (proteins), fibers (husk) and finally pure starch.
How does it work:Corn starch is used as a thickening agent in liquid-based foods (e.g., soup, sauces, gravies, custard), usually by mixing it with a lower-temperature liquid to form a paste or slurry. Food producers reduce production costs by adding varying amounts of corn starch to foods, for example to cheese and yogurt.
Applications. Or where it is used : Most commonly known as corn starch, maize starch is used in Bakery industry, as well as thickening sauces, puddings, and gravies. One of the best industrial uses of maize starch powder is bakers using it to improve the texture and tenderness of cakes.
Manufacturing process : The corn is steeped for 30 to 48 hours, which ferments it slightly. The germ is separated from the endosperm and those two components are ground separately (still soaked). Next the starch is removed from each by washing.
How to use : Maize starch is used for its gelling or thickening properties in many sectors of agro-food applications (soups, delicatessen meats, sauces, pastas, creams). Used in Pastry, cream, Desserts, coating, etc.
Dosage of usage: That said, most labels for corn silk supplements recommend considerably lower doses of 400–450 mg taken 2–3 times per day. It’s recommended to start with a low dose to ensure that your body responds favorably, then increase it gradually if necessary.
Side effects: High intake can cause digestive upset, such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea, in some people. Corn contains phytic acid, which may reduce mineral absorption. Mycotoxin contamination may also be a concern in developing countries.

Introduction of product:
Sodium croscarmellose is an internally cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose for use as a super disintegrant in pharmaceutical formulations. E468 is the E number of crosslinked sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, used in food as an emulsifier. Croscarmellose sodium, or sodium CMC, is a cross-linked polymer of carboxymethylcellulose sodium. It appears as white, fibrous, free-flowing powder, and is used commonly as an FDA-approved disintegrant in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Disintegrants facilitate the breakup of a tablet in the intestinal tract after oral administration. Cross-linking allows enhanced bioavailability of the drug through superior drug dissolution. Without a disintegrant, tablets may not dissolve appropriately and may effect the amount of active ingredient absorbed, thereby decreasing effectiveness.
How does it work:Croscarmellose sodium is a carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) that is widely used as an additive in pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical industry; in particular, it is used in oral pharmaceutical formulations as a disintegrant for capsules, tablets and granules.
Applications Or where it is used:It is a very commonly used pharmaceutical additive approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Its purpose in most tablets – including dietary supplements – is to assist the tablet in disintegrating in the gastrointestinal tract promptly.
Manufacturing process:The invention relates to a preparation method of croscarmellose sodium. In the method, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, organic acid anhydride and an inorganic acid catalyst, with stable performance, are used as raw materials to carry out an esterification synthesis reaction, and croscarmellose sodium is finally prepared. Croscarmellose sodium to be used as a pharmaceutic adjuvant can be synthesized by one-step chemical crosslinking, the invention has the advantages of short reaction time and easily controlled reaction conditions, and the synthesized product has reliable performance and stable quality.

Introduction of product:Cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP), also known as cellacefate (INN) and cellulosi acetas phthalas, is a commonly used polymer phthalate in the formulation of pharmaceuticals, such as the enteric coating of tablets or capsules and for controlled release formulations. Cellulose acetate phthalate is soluble in buffer solutions at pH values as low as 6. It has therefore found a use in the enteric coating field. Addition of plasticizers improves the water resistance of the ester.
How does it work:Cellulose acetate phthalate is used as an enteric film-coating material, as a microencapsulation agent, or as a matrix binder for tablets and capsules. Such coatings resist prolonged contact with the strongly acidic gastric fluid, but dissolve in the mildly acidic or neutral intestinal environment. The organic solvents widely used as reaction media for the phthaloylation of cellulose acetate are acetic acid, acetone, or pyridine. The basic catalysts employed are anhydrous sodium acetate when using acetic acid, amines when using acetone, and the organic solvent itself when using pyridine as reaction medium.
Applications Or where it is used:Cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP) is used as an enteric film coating material, or as a matrix binder for tablets and capsules. Such coatings resist prolonged contact with the strongly acidic gastric fluid, but dissolve in the mildly acidic or neutral intestinal environment.Cellulose acetate phthalate is commonly applied to solid-dosage forms either by coating from organic or aqueous solvent systems, or by direct compression.
